Donald H. Gardner

Donald H. Gardner, 90, of Shelocta, PA, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024 at ACMH in Kittanning, PA.

He was born June 14, 1934 in Hollidaysburg, PA; the son of Harry and Louise (Shaw) Gardner.

Donald was a member of the St. Mary, Mother of God Parish in Yatesboro. He worked as a tree trimmer with his father before becoming a certified welder at Penelec. He retired in 1994 from the Keystone Power Plant. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, working in his workshop and spending time with his family.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Helen L. (Stevelock) Gardner, whom he married on Sept. 5, 1953; son, Donald H. Gardner, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Indiana; daughter, Bonnie Frailey and husband, Randy of Kittanning; grandchildren, Zachery (Ashley) Frailey, Jesse (Nicole) Frailey, Chelsea Frailey, Eli (Ella Spencer) Frailey, and Devon (Darian) Robinson; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Nora Frailey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frank, Richard, and Charles and sisters, Katherine Catucci, Betty Snowberger, and Helen Hughes.

Friends and family may gather for a Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 St. Mary, Mother of God, 109 2nd St, Yatesboro, PA 16263.

Interment will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, PA.
