Linda L. Stahl

Linda L. Stahl, 82, of Indiana, PA, formally of Ligonier, PA passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024.

She was born on Dec. 15, 1941 in Stahlstown, PA; the daughter of John E. and Helen (Shafer) Weaver.

Linda spent her life working in the food industry including working in the Ligonier school cafeteria, and later working and then being part owner of Lettuce Eat restaurant in Ligonier, Latrobe, and Johnstown. In 2000 she left the restaurant business and finished her career at Ligonier Giant Eagle working in the bakery until her retirement. After retirement Linda volunteered with meals on wheels up until she moved to Indiana, PA in 2022 to be closer to her family. Linda was a 44 year breast cancer survivor and helped raise money for many years for the Ligonier Relay for Life. She took up running in her 50's and ran the Columbus Marathon at the age of 55. She could often be seen running at the track or in later years walking every day thru town or working out at the Ligonier YMCA.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents John and Helen Weaver, brother, Thomas Weaver, and her beloved husband of 52 years, Charles "Charlie" Stahl. Linda is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Mike) of Indiana, PA who she shared a deep and loving relationship with. She is also survived by a son, Jeffrey (Missy) Ligonier, PA; and her loving grandchildren Luke, Eli, Abigail, Hannah (Charlie), Greta, and Jeremiah. Linda also loved her cat Snowball and he will live out the rest of his life with Michelle.

Linda's daughter would like to thank all of the caregivers at The Fountains at Indiana for taking wonderful care of her mom. She enjoyed every conversation she had with the staff and all the attention everyone gave to Snowball. They truly made her final years happy.

Family and friends will gather at the Clark Chapel of Bauer Funeral Home, Inc. of 238 South Main Street, Elderton, PA from 1:30 PM until the time of services at 3:30 PM on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024 with Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers, STS officiating.

Interment will be private at a later date for immediate family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Linda's memory to the Progressive Workshop of Armstrong County, 301 Oak Ave, Kittanning, PA 16201 or to a charity of your choice.
