Florence E. Rankin
Florence E. Rankin, 89, of New Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026 at Clarion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.She was born July 22, 1937 in Clarion, PA, the daughter of Clarence E. and Ruth E. (Kahle) Renninger.
Florence attended Wildcat Wesleyan Methodist Church in Rimersburg. She enjoyed shopping, eating out, and watching Fox News. She cherished the holidays, family gatherings, and every opportunity to have her loved ones together. Florence was always looking out for her family, making sure everyone was safe, happy, and cared for.
She was an excellent cook who didn't follow a recipe, measuring with her heart and creating meals filled with love. Her meatloaf, macaroni salad, and turkey stuffing casserole were family favorites and will be fondly remembered.
Florence will be lovingly remembered for her kind and caring heart, and her unwavering devotion to her family.
Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Ronald "Bub" Rankin and wife Beth, of Distant, Donald Rankin of New Bethlehem, and Doug Rankin and wife Tracy, of Rimersburg; daughters, Joyce Miller and husband Larry, of New Bethlehem, Marsha Bowser and husband Bud, of Rimersburg, Rhonda Lineman and husband Chuck, of Rimersburg, and Connie "Sis" Kirkpatrick and husband William, of Rimersburg; 20 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Irvin Renninger of Knox.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 61 years, Marshall Z. Rankin whom she married on July 6, 1953 and who passed away on Jan. 18, 2015; grandchildren, Larry Miller, Jr., Kessa Beckwith, and Kameron Rankin; brother, Clarence Renninger; sisters, Agnes Bish and Judy Rex; and daughter-in-law Leanne Rankin.
Friends and family will be received from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg.
Additional visitation will be from 11:30 AM until the time of funeral services at 1 PM on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at Wildcat Wesleyan Methodist Church, Rimersburg, PA, with Rev. William Davis and Rev. Mark Deeter co-officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, New Bethlehem, PA.
