George Steven Hall

George Steven Hall, 66, Canton, PA, passed away on Thursday March 6, 2025.

He was born Nov. 30, 1958, in Williamsport, PA, the son of George W. Hall and Odessa (Fitch) Asselta, both deceased.

George graduated from Canton High School in 1976 and Williamsport Community College with a certification in Diesel Mechanics. He moved to Wallkill, NY where he raised his family with former wife, Jamie Partington Hall, and worked for Yellow Freight as a diesel mechanic and was part of the Teamsters Local #707. After 25 years, he retired from Yellow Freight Trucking in 2003 and moved back to Canton with his family.

He enjoyed fishing, watching football especially Penn State and the New York Giants. George was a lover of dogs especially his companions Jessie and Jiggs. He had a knack for fixing almost anything and enjoyed being busy. George was happiest when he was working.

He is survived by his sons, Steven A. Hall of Canton, PA and Brian J. (Morgan West) Hall of Granville Summit, PA; daughter, Casey E. (Jonathan) McMasters of Shelocta, PA; grandchildren, Ezra James Hall, Leon James Hall, Carmella Mae Hall, Kincade James McMasters, and Jameson Jon McMasters; and his siblings, Linda (Tom) Drummond of Camp Hill, PA, Jack (Carolyn) Hall of Palmyra, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.
