Dalton H. Raraigh, 94, of Dayton, PA, died peacefully with family on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, while in the care of the VNA Hospice of Butler.

He was born in Sagamore on May 2, 1922, to Duff and Leona (McGaughey) Raraigh.

Dalton was a long time resident of Armstrong County. He was a proud veteran of WWII and served in Europe as a Timberwolfe in Company D 414th Infantry. Over the years he was an active member of the Rural Valley Presbyterian Church and the Grace Presbyterian Church. He was employed at PPG in Ford City until 1959 and then as a State Farm Agent until his retirement in 1976. He enjoyed living and tinkering on numerous projects at his residence on the hill near Dayton. He and his close friend, Myrtle, enjoyed many winters in Florida playing shuffle board. He also enjoyed singing and playing his keyboards, but his first love was family.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons, Nolan Raraigh and wife, Patti, and Kim Raraigh and wife, Cathy; three grandchildren, Brendon Raraigh and wife, Karen, Leia Raraigh, and Duff Raraigh. He was also proud to have one great-grandson, Maxwell Raraigh, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dorothy (Schrecengost) Raraigh; and three siblings, Burnice Stull, Ruth Marshall, and Kenneth Raraigh.
