A. W. "Buss" Drummond

Alfred Wayne "Buss" Drummond, 86, of Dayton, PA, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

He was born February 4, 1930 in Porter Twp., Jefferson Co., PA, the son of Wade and Augusta (Ayers) Drummond.

Buss was a lifetime member of the area and was self-employed as a dairy farmer. He was a member of Milton Church and had a special place in his heart for his dogs Zeke and Baby Girl. Buss enjoyed polkas and hunting, and was also a stock car owner and raced at Marion Center for many years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and one of his most-prized possessions was his Harley-Davidson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara I. (Kunselman) Drummond, whom he married December 4, 1958; sons, Wade Drummond and companion, Karyn Keyes, of Pittsburgh, Don Drummond, of Dayton, Jon Drummond, of Dayton, and Scott Drummond and wife, Shelley, of New Bethlehem; daughters, Cynthia A. Snyder, of New Bethlehem, and Kelly Reken and husband, Alan, of Smicksburg; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Walburn, of DuBois.

Buss was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack, Tom, Dale and Alvin Drummond; and sister, Olive Drummond.

Family and friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of the memorial service at 1 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home, 125 E. Main St., Dayton, PA 16222, with the Rev. Dennis Howard officiating.

Burial will be in North Point Cemetery, North Point, PA.
