Kimberly Dawn Spencer

Kimberly Dawn Spencer, 58, of Elderton, PA, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital.

She was born November 29, 1956 in Indiana, PA, the daughter of Carl Neal Clark and Gertrude Etta (Lawton) Clark.

Kimberly was a lifelong resident of Elderton and was a member of Elderton Presbyterian Church. She attended IUP and Kutztown University where she studied Vision Impaired Education and Elementary Education. For 27 years, she taught first grade in the Armstrong School District. Teaching was her passion and she will be best remembered for being a patient, kind and gifted instructor. Kimberly loved to travel, watch sports and spend time with her family. She was also a gifted cook and baker, and was known as the "Great Baker" by those who enjoyed her treats.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Charles "Tom" Spencer, whom she married August 12, 1978; sons, Thomas Jeremy "TJ" Spencer and wife, Tandi Nicole, of Rural Valley, and Bret Clark Spencer and wife, Amy Lynn, of Strasburg; grandchildren, Sadie Grace Spencer and Reese Kimberly Spencer; brother, Clarence "Neal" Clark and wife, Maryanne, of Emmaus; sisters, Linda "Kay" Vogus, of Titusville, and Barbara "Carrol" Townsend and husband, James, of Spring Church; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Theodore Vogus.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Elderton Presbyterian Church, 115 N. Main St., Elderton, with the Rev. Edward Gray officiating.
