Jack A. Bowser

Jack A. Bowser, 71, of Ford City, PA, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Kittanning Care Center.

He was born July 23, 1943 in Kittanning, PA, the son of Jack O. and Josephine L. (Pinkerton) Bowser.

Jack was a lifetime resident of the Kittanning and Ford City areas, and worked at Castle Rubber in Butler for a number of years and also as a mechanic at Stitt's Garage in Ford City. Jack loved cars and was always working on them and going to auto auctions to see what kind of deals he could find. In his younger years, Jack enjoyed golfing, and he always loved spending time with his beloved dog, Buddy.

His memory will be cherished by his sister, Nancy Matthews and husband, Richard, of Chino, CA; nieces and nephews, Kim Pierce and husband, David, of Mont Clair, CA, Tammy Smith and husband, Mark, of Chino, CA, and Evan Matthews and wife, Vicki, of Springfield, CA; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 12 PM until the time of the memorial service at 1 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA, with his great-nephew, Pastor Daniel Pierce, officiating.

Following the service, Jack's family and friends are invited to a gathering in his memory.
